If we are installing Microsoft Office 2003, 2007 or Office 2010 with default installation, usually in the folder where you installed this office will have a folder whose name MSOCache. Or maybe we ever see this folder on drive C:. What exactly is the content of this folder and how can it help?

When you install Microsoft Office (2003, 2007 or 2010) then the automatic, installation files will be copied in office at the drive in which the office is installed. For example we are installing Office on drive C, then this folder will be created in C:\MSOCache.

MSOCache folder has the hidden attribute, so if windows explorer set to hide files and folders are hidden, then this folder will not be visible. To view them, enable through Folder Options. (Tools> Folder Options, select the tab “View” and give the check “Show hidden files and folders“).
